Situation Room Update

The Situation Room has recently added in a new feature for clients to run reports on infrastructure and assets potentially affected by severe weather or natural hazards. With the ability to import asset layers into the Situation Room, the new reporting tool allows clients to run reports when severe weather is forecast or warnings are issued whilst locating which assets will be affected. Reports can be sent internally and allow immediate plans to be put in place. With the Situation Room providing clients with a complete overview of weather and natural hazards in Australia, this new reporting tool is a perfect addition.

Situation Room

With flooding a major threat to business across Australia, the latest version of the EWN Situation Room now provides full rainfall and river observations for every state and territory. The GIS based system now boasts a powerful set of tools with the combination of EWN Meteorologist forecasts, warnings and real time observations including rainfall and river heights all available on the one screen. Business are now able to see assets layered with weather and natural hazard threats in real time, providing a greater understanding of risks and subsequently putting in place action plans to ensure safety of staff and assets. Not only will this provide better safety for staff, it minimises the potential loss of goods and assets from such events.
